lyrics
Verse:
Lone candle burns by my side, night returns
Your face i yearn
Cold winds blow, in my hand, your photo
Curtains bellow
Though you're gone i must make contact on
This night fore long
Now i wait for your voice
In this state, not my choice
Pre-chorus:
Gone, ripped from life, that you were, time prematurly ended
All your future, all your promise, those opportunities
Suddenly fled with your light i cannot see anymore
Chorus:
Voice lost in eternity tell me of the things you've seen
Beyond the physical, of the place your soul now dwells
Since then, when you left me here, many tears i've shed, my dear
Somewhere, in the unknown, are you waiting for me now
Verse:
Candle fading, moon is by myside
Darkness descending
Icy fingers chill my spine
Flame has burnt out, silence in the night
Footsteps down the hall, a presence of another
Bridge:
As my eyes turn to my doorframe
A form i see, do my eyes betray
Pitch black mist, a humanoid shape
From that might peers a face
White as death, its words make haste
Interlude:
Nothing awaits beyond
Dark despair, silence long
Bridge
Chorus:
Is that all you have to say, before you will go away?
Alone you will leave me, with more questions than before
Chorus
Chorus:
If you return to that place i will never see your face
Solitude eternal in the abyss forevermore

A beautiful journey from start to finish, with perfectly placed moments of gentility amidst the rhythmic intrigue and blast beats of their guest drummer. jsteadmanfan

An eclectic but incredibly well-integrated blend of traditional death metal, melodeath, black metal, progressive, and even a bit of folk (with the added bonus of audible and tasty bass guitar). The album has a consistent, pulverizing momentum punctuated by the rare acoustic passage or catchy chorus/refrain. Overall an unbelievably mature first offering from an up-and-coming band to watch.
